UCF has been asked to develop an afterschool activity for the kids in need of the Sunridge community here in Charlotte. Through arts and crafts, tutoring, and even putting on a play in the spring, we have a need for every skill set. This is our opportunity to plan, organize and execute a program from scratch.
Our mission is to motivate and keep these kids active, providing them hope – a hope the world does not give, but only that can be given by God’s grace and love. This will greatly improve the morale of the people and shine a positive light on the community they live in. Let’s show them that we have not forgotten them.
This is the perfect time to get involved and help lead UCF into this new project.
Our first afternoon for this project is slated for Monday, Nov 2nd. We plan on having at least one afternoon a week until the end of the semester for the kids, and then start back up at the beginning of next semester.
This is a project that would change one afternoon a week for you, but could change an entire outlook for a community. We’ve been talking about changing our community. Now they need us. Let’s do something about it.
Check our calendar of events for updates and if you need more information, contact Jake.
